vacation reset

we are back from Italy and feeling refreshed from enjoying our European vacation to the fullest (aka, eating all of the things). it’s always nice to be away and have different experiences but then i’m always happy to come back home. i’m excited to share the process from a-z of what i do when i get back home to get back in the routine. let the reset begin!

pre vacation – the best thing to do is to clean your house. there is nothing worse than coming home only to clean up.

1. unpack – unpacking is the worst but don’t delay the inevitable. unpack your suitcase right away and do a load of laundry. power through this part of unpacking and laundry.

2. grocery shop/pre-plan meals– it feels so good to be able to eat a home cooked meal. this is something i always look forward to coming back from a trip. the key to healthy eating for me is having everything easily accessible, washed and ready to grab and planned.

3. GREENS – Lord knows my body needs it. i always crave loads of fresh salads and veggies. the salad pictured above is one of my favorites and i’ll be sharing the recipe soon. it’s incredibly satisfying.

4. catch up with friends and family – share your vacation experience and of course if you would recommend the location. don’t forget to ask them what they’ve been up to, too!

5. vacation photos – i think it’s wonderful to share the memories you’ve created either privately via text (more intimate photos) or publicly.
